Top 5 pet peeves on the road1. Red turn arrow: I am talking about red arrows on a standard left turn when they are absolutely not necessary...which is often the case. The problem is there are now far too many red arrows. They seemingly popup where they are not needed and are not at intersections where they would be more appropriate. In short, they are very annoying. Can anyone from city council get these removed? 2. Text messaging: I have nothing against someone using their cell phone - except when it makes them appear drunk behind the wheel! If you are going to text message while driving - well - don't do it because it makes your driving suck. 3. People at 4-way stops: You think this would be a simple thing but it's not. For some odd reason people have trouble deciding who goes next. I particularly like the standoff where two drivers will both sit there until one decides to go. It's not rocket science. If you are first to the 4-way stop...GO! Thank you. 4. Drifters: This would be anyone who decides to switch lanes but not to pass the car in front of them rather to drive right beside them! Why get over at all? What the drifter often doesn't realize is that they are indirectly cutting someone off and creating an un-necessary bottleneck.
5. Continuous lanes: In short, the advice is to USE THEM. I see so many continuous lanes go ignored and unused. How do you think that makes the continuous lane feel? Now think about the driver behind you that knows how to use it that you just made stop for no reason! While I know I'm not the lone voice of the road, I think my five pet peeves give you a few ideas on how we can make it a smoother, safer drive for everyone! |

Last year the Emperor of Dove valley stood up to defend his newly acquired running back, Travis Henry, when he found himself in trouble with the league for a potential drug violation. That was then, this is now. Now, O'Henry, is gone. Henry failed to show up for practice, not a problem, now he's not welcome back at all. Henry's hopes of resurrecting his career in the runner friendly Denver...gone!
It was, in the words of farmer Ted, the final straw. Mike Shanahan had enough.
The Broncos current crop of running backs consist of a rookie, two injury prone backs and the freshly signed Michael Pittman who's 32 years old which means he's like 56 in running back years.
Doesn't matter, Henry is gone.

(click picture to watch video) Superbowl XXXI Denver 31 Green Bay 24 Brett Favre and the defending Superbowl champion Green Bay Packers were heavily favored to win the game but came up seven points short in the end. The Packers final drive was stalled when Broncos linebacker John Mobley batted Brett Favre's pass to Mark Chmura. MVP of the game was Terrell Davis who rushed for 157 yards and a Super Bowl-record three touchdowns to lead the Broncos to their first NFL championship and break the NFC's streak of Super Bowl victories at 13. Superbowl XXXII Denver 34 Atlanta 19 The following year the Broncos marched through the regular season with ease and took care of the Atlanta Falcons in similar fashion. The game was intense early but it wasn't long until the Broncos found their rythm and took complete control of the game. At one point they were leading 31-6. John Elway, the game's MVP, passed for 336 yards and also rushed for a touchdown. |
